Alcyone leverages the synergy between FalconTM, the company’s proprietary intrathecal precision dosing platform that incorporates a deep knowledge of cerebral spinal fluid dynamics, computational modeling and bioengineering, and multiple novel genetic therapy platforms developed at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (AWRI). Inspira Therapeutics, Inc. is a therapeutics company developing antigen-specific, immune-modifying therapies to retrain a patient’s immune system to prevent it from attacking the host’s own cells. Inspira Therapeutics’ system is minimally invasive, prevents and in some cases reverses disease progression, is well tolerated with limited side-effects, and does NOT require generalized suppression of the host’s immune system or cell transplantation. Inspira Therapeutics’ first product to market will treat Type 1 Diabetes, and preliminary research is ongoing for both Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

Its lead programs are focused on Pompe’s Disease (GAA deficiency), N-acetyl-glucosaminidase (NAGLU) deficiency (Sanfilippo Syndrome Type B) and spinal cerebellar ataxia (SCA). The company also has a development program for Alzheimer’s disease.
