Our speaker on October 22 is Leticia Montoya. Leticia is a chemical biologist by training. She is currently a Product Development Scientist for the Cell Biology R&D Team at Thermo Fisher, where she develops products and solutions for detecting cellular targets and functions using flow cytometry, microplate readers, microscopy, and cell-based assay platforms. She obtained her PhD in Chemistry from University of Oregon, where she designed and synthesized colorimetric and fluorescent compounds that selectively label hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in biological systems, including live cells and mouse tissue.
