The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has launched the TARGETED (Targeted Genome Editor Delivery) Challenge to advance genome editing by sourcing innovative solutions for delivering genome editors to somatic cells. The Challenge seeks breakthroughs in two key areas focused on 1) developing a programmable delivery system and 2) non-viral solutions for crossing the blood-brain barrier.
Phase 2 is currently accepting submissions, Phase 1 entry is not required. NIH will award up to 10 prizes of $250,000 to top teams showing promising solutions for each target area.
The submission deadline is January 10th, 2025. Late registrations may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. You can learn more about application requirements here.
