This opportunity is designed for small businesses developing highly innovative and transformative technologies that have the potential to create new scientific paradigms by establishing entirely new and improved approaches to significantly improve cancer research, prevention, detection and care in pediatric and/or rare cancers (See here for the definition of rare cancer).  For this solicitation rare cancers with a 5-year survival rate of less than 50 % are encouraged.
