Event Details

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking innovative, cost-effective solutions to reduce polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) concentrations and toxicity in soil and sediment before, during, or after landfill disposal. This challenge targets the PCB contamination that remains within the Housatonic River “Rest of River” area.

Participants are invited to propose novel treatment technologies or approaches to safely and efficiently address PCB contamination. The Phase 1 prize pool is $120,000, with awards up to $30,000 per winner. 

Submissions are due by November 12th, 2024 at 11:59 EST. Application information and eligibility details can be found on the challenge website
