The ACEL Marketing Clinic is a free event open to all young professionals (with registration.) Spawned from our Marketing Committee’s needs to learn and create the best possible materials for ACEL, each clinic will be split into a one hour lesson, followed by an hour of actively collaborating on a live ACEL assignment that. If all goes well, the work we produce together will go live and you’ll have some real experience using a new marketing tactic.

Our first one is super exciting:

You will learn how professional advertising creatives come up with breakthrough work.

A study done in the late 90s showed that all award winning creative ads fall under just seven templates. Join ACEL President and ex NYC ad agency creative director Marc Lefton as he shows you that you don’t have to be born Don Draper – anyone can learn the templates and apply creativity to solve communications problems in business. You can get an MBA, but creativity in business is a highly sought after skill that’s very hard to find.

Hour 1: Marc will take you through some of the world’s best creative advertising and break down the templates each of them fall into.

Hour 2: Marc will lead the group through coming up with concepts to promote ACEL using the templates, and give feedback and critiques

At the end of the process, we may have very well launched a new campaign!
