UF Researcher Receives Award From the American Academy of Sleep Medicine

The sleep medicine subspecialty is a rapidly evolving field and one that needs leaders and educators to cultivate the next generation. A practicing clinician and professor, Richard Berry, MD, FAASM, medical director of the UF Health Sleep Center and director of the UF Sleep Medicine Fellowship, has stepped up to meet this need by contributing countless hours over the course of his nearly 35-year career to guide clinicians who are entering the field.

To honor his contributions and dedication, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) awarded Dr. Berry with the 2020 Nathaniel Kleitman Distinguished Service Award. The award is presented to an individual who has made significant contributions in the areas of administration, public relations, and government affairs.
