UF Professor Elected American Institute of Chemical Engineers Fellow

University of Florida‘s Chemical Engineering professor, Richard B. Dickinson, Ph.D., was elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). This honor is the organization’s highest grade of membership and is awarded to members in recognition of significant professional accomplishments and contributions in chemical engineering.

Dr. Dickinson’s research applies engineering principles to study the behavior of living cells or other small-scale biological systems. He uses a combination of engineering modeling, analysis, quantitative experimentation, and the tools of molecular cell biology to better understand the relationship between cell function and the physical and molecular properties of cells and their environment.
