New Location for Lacerta Therapeutics in Alachua’s Copeland Park
UF startup and UF Innovate | Sid Martin Biotech resident client Lacerta Therapeutics, a clinical-stage gene therapy company, has announced the commencement of construction on a new office and lab building in Copeland Park, located in the heart of the North Florida Research Corridor in Alachua. The 12,950 square foot building is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2020.
Joe Reddy, president and CEO of Lacerta Therapeutics, said: ”We are excited about our new office and lab space. This new facility will enable us to rapidly advance the development of our broad pipeline of AAV gene therapy product candidates in multiple therapeutic areas. We have an option to expand into the adjoining parcel, which would enable us to leverage our proprietary, scalable AAV manufacturing platform.”
