Christine Schmidt Elected to Prestigious National Academy of Medicine
UF researcher Christine Schmidt has been elected to the National Academy of Medicine. This prestigious honor follows her election earlier this year to the National Academy of Engineering, making her one of the few exceptional individuals to be recognized by both academies.
UF Doctor Named to National Academy of Medicine
Dr. Gilbert Rivers Upchurch Jr., the Edward M. Copeland III and Ann and Ira Horowitz Chair in the UF College of Medicine’s department of surgery, has been named to the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) for his seminal contributions to the understanding of the development of vascular disease and contributing greatly to the advancement of all aspects of vascular and surgical care.
