The DEBUT Challenge, hosted by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) in collaboration with VentureWell, aims to recognize undergraduate excellence in biomedical design and innovation. The challenge invites teams of undergraduate students to develop innovative solutions to unmet health and clinical problems.

The competition is open to undergraduate student teams working on biomedical design projects that address real-world healthcare issues. Submissions will be judged based on the significance of the problem being addressed, the impact of the proposed solution, the innovation in design, and the functionality of the working prototype.
