The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Electricity (OE) has announced Round 2 of the Energy Storage Innovations Prize, a single-phase, $300,000 competition designed to identify innovative, emerging, and next-generation energy storage solutions. This initiative aims to inform DOE’s strategy on transformative storage technologies to accelerate grid modernization, ensuring reliability, affordability, and energy security for all consumers.
Eligible participants include individuals, academia, non-federal government entities, small businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs. The competition will award up to five Champions with $50,000 each and up to five Finalists with $10,000 each to support the advancement of groundbreaking energy storage solution
