Event Details
IMPACT is a 12-week accelerator program that aims to advance early-stage medical device and biotech companies who have been impacted by the pandemic and/or are addressing key health security challenges. Up to 10 startups will be selected for the cohort and will go through a series of educational workshops, mentorship and more.
IMPACT participants will pitch their innovation to a panel of investors and have the opportunity for one-on-one follow-on meetings. University spin-outs are welcomed and encouraged to apply. The IMPACT Program is being sponsored by Amgen, Asahi Intecc, BARDA DRIVe, Boston Scientific, Hologic, Johnson & Johnson Innovation and Sarepta Therapeutics.
The application for cycle 3 will be open from February 22nd through March 22nd. This cycle will be centric to Hologic’s Areas of Technology Interest:
- Devices intended to simplify and improve therapeutic procedures in the women’s health space, filling treatment gaps and advancing patient care. Areas of interest include:
- GYN transvaginal procedures, such as:
- Tubal obstruction (HSG, selective HSG)
- Biopsy collection
- Vaginal Surgery
- GYN Laparoscopic surgery
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Pelvic/bladder health
- Contraception (non-hormonal)
- Fertility
- Oncology solutions
- Surgical approaches to oncology
- GYN transvaginal procedures, such as:
