My law practice predominantly involves helping people who have been injured in automobile accidents. One of the more difficult aspects is seeing the effect of people injured by drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The last few years I seem to be seeing more situations like this: An error that caused an accident seem so outsized that you can’t help but suspect some form of impairment was involved. But the standard indications of alcohol intoxication weren’t present.
The reason appears to be the increasing number of accidents related to driving under the influence of marijuana. There’s mounting evidence to support that assumption.
