UF Engineering Graduate Programs Climb in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

Four departments in the University of Florida’s Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering made significant gains in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report(USNWR) rankings among graduate engineering programs, according to figures released.

Among public universities, the college climbed 3 spots to No. 24 from No. 27. Two programs made the Top 20 for overall rankings: aerospace engineering moved to No. 19 from No. 23 and nuclear engineering moved to No. 12 from No. 13. Among public universities, all four programs made the Top 20.

“Our rise in the rankings reflects the unwavering dedication of our faculty and staff to supporting our graduate students with world-class facilities and access to cutting-edge resources like UF’s supercomputer, HiPerGator,” said Forrest Masters, Ph.D., the college’s interim dean.
