Tech Tuesday: University of Florida Lab Studies Energy Storage Systems and Potential Improvements
In this week’s Tech Tuesday, UF Innovate host Bethany Gaffey introduces Danielle Alverson, a graduate student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at the University of Florida. Her research focuses on improving energy storage systems by using machine learning and x-ray scattering techniques to study battery materials.
“How can we better charge the world? We’re here with UF’s Materials Science and Engineering Department to learn more. Danielle, tell us more about who you are and what you do,” said Gaffey.
“Yeah, so I’m Danielle Alverson. I’m a fifth-year PhD candidate in the Materials Science Department. I currently work with Professor Megan Butala, and we work to kind of find alternative energy sources for energy storage materials,” said Danielle Alverson, University of Florida graduate student.
