Tech Tuesday: Associate Professor at the University of Florida Researches the Correlation Between Infectious Pathogens Natural Disaster
In this week’s Tech Tuesday, UF Innovate’s host Bethany Gaffey introduces Dr. Antarpreet Jutla, an associate professor in the Engineering School of Sustainable Infrastructure & Environment at the University of Florida. His research focuses on developing advanced models to predict when, where, and how infectious pathogens pose a risk to human populations, especially following natural disasters like hurricanes.
“The impacts from hurricanes go far beyond the end of the storm. We’re here with UF’s Environmental Engineering Department to learn more. Antar, tell us more about who you are and what you do,” said Gaffey.
“So, my name is Antar Jutla. I’m an associate professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Florida. I study and develop models to understand when, where, and how infectious pathogens are going to be a risk for human populations,” said Antarpreet Jutla, associate professor at the University of Florida.
