Tech Tuesday: UF Design Lab Advance Livestock Feeding Research by Simulating the Stomach of a Cow
In this week’s Tech Tuesday, UF Innovate’s host Bethany Gaffey introduce Samantha Kormanyos from UF’s Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Senior Design Lab. Samantha and her team have developed a system that simulates a cow’s stomach, advancing livestock feeding research.
“When it comes to feeding the world, animal nutrition needs to be safe and efficient. We’re here at UF’s Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department to learn more. Samantha, tell us more about who you are and what you do,” said Gaffey.
“Hi, so I’m the CEO of Kormanyos & Stahovec Agricultural Solutions, or KSAS for short, and we have been working for the past 13 weeks on this system so that we can provide a simulation of the rumen stomach for agricultural researchers,” said Samantha Kormanyos, CEO of KSAS.
