US News & World Report Rates University of Florida Health As High Performing for Maternity Care
UF Health Shands Hospital recognized for leadership, expertise with pregnancy and childbirth
UF Health Shands Hospital received the highest possible rating for its services in the U.S. News & World Report rankings for the Best Hospitals for Maternity Care. This designation signifies that the hospital provides the highest quality maternal care for uncomplicated pregnancies. Notably, this marks the fourth consecutive year the hospital has earned this rating.

Our doctors, nurses, midwives, and team members continually demonstrate leadership and expertise in maternity care that are critical to ensuring the best outcomes during pregnancy and childbirth,” said Shireen Madani Sims, M.D., interim chair of the UF College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
