Tech Tuesday: Local Company Aims To Cure Blindness and Other Eye Disorders by Targeting Diseased Cells
“What if we could use nanotechnology to cure blindness? We’re here with UF Innovate at Sid Martin Biotech to learn more. Zois, tell us what is NanoNeurosciences?” asked Bethany Gaffey, host of UF Innovate.
“Hi. Yeah. NanoNeurosciences is a name that comes from three different words. The nano that represents nanotechnology; neuro, that represents to cure like neuronal cells. And sciences is like that because we’re combining three different directions of the science for providing a cure or a therapy for degenerative diseases or, in general, diseases,” said Zois Syrgiannis, co-founder and chief executive officer at NanoNeurosciences, Inc.
“How are the nanoplatforms you’re creating working within the body?” asked Gaffey.
