Farahmandi Works To Optimize Chip Lifecycle Management

Dr. Farimah Farahmandi, assistant professor in the UF Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, recently received funding for her project “Optimized System Design for Assurance and Life-cycle Management (SaLEM).” The project will develop a sustainable and security-aware life-cycle management solution. Through advanced security and data monitoring, this research will help with the recovery of systems in the field, as well as enhance overall device security.

Dr. Farahmandi’s research has been used for national security in military and naval systems, the aerospace industry, financial systems, and more. Her areas of research include hardware security verification, information leakage, and debugging. She holds 12 issued/pending patents and has published her research in numerous publications.
