UF Strategic Investment Will Advance Research Software Engineering and Enable Leading-Edge Data Modeling

The University of Florida will be building a software developer group to assist principal investigators and researchers with technically-advanced tasks to elevate research capabilities and utilize advanced technologies on campus, like the HiPerGator supercomputer.

The Research Software Engineers to Enhance/Scale Computer Research project will assist researchers throughout campus with the development of software for advanced computing, a skill that not every researcher will have. The initiative aims to build a platform of technical support for researchers while attracting top minds from around the world.
