Admiral Named One of the Fastest Growing Companies in U.S. (Press Release)

Admiral Named One of the Fastest Growing Companies in U.S.

Today, Inc. revealed that Admiral is No. 981 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The UF Innovate | Accelerate resident client Admiral also ranked as Top 100 (75) of Marketing and Advertising companies, Top 100 (90) from the state of Florida, and the #1 fastest growing company from its hometown of Gainesville, FL.

The Inc. list represents a one-of-a-kind look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment — its independent businesses. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armor, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

Admiral, the Visitor Relationship Management (VRM) company, helps thousands of media publishers worldwide  — including NBCUniversal, ViacomCBS, Hearst, and more — grow visitor relationships and revenue. Admiral’s SaaS VRM platform empowers publishers to personalize their visitor journeys at scale, driving revenue diversification including paid subscriptions, newsletter growth, adblock recovery, privacy consent, and more.

“Our business model is 100% performance-based, so we only grow by helping media publishers grow their revenue,” say Dan Rua, CEO. “Because of that, we want to thank and congratulate all of our publishers for earning this ranking together. We’d also like to thank UF Innovate for believing in our mission and supporting our growth from founding to becoming Gainesville’s fastest growing company.”

Admiral joined The Hub as a resident client shortly after founding, including Dan and co-founders James Hartig, Nathan Hagen and Will Richardson — all former members of the team that helped build Grooveshark in Gainesville. The business incubator is part of UF Innovate’s Accelerate ecosystem, which provides a place and a program for startups and growth companies.

“We are so proud of Admiral, one of our UF Innovate | Accelerate client companies, for being ranked as the #1 fastest-growing company in Gainesville, FL,” said Karl R. LaPan, director UF Innovate | Accelerate. “We are even prouder that the world learned of this sophisticated and smart SaaS company that transforms visitor experiences to drive increased revenue opportunities for some of the largest publishers in the world.”

The companies on the 2022 Inc. 5000 have not only been successful but have also demonstrated resilience amid industry disruption and volatility, labor shortages, and the ongoing impact of Covid-19. Among the top 500, the average median three-year revenue growth rate soared to 2,144 percent. Together, those companies added more than 68,394 jobs over the past three years.

“The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today.”

“Our mission of ‘Saving the free Internet, one publisher at a time’ grows one step closer with each new adoption of our VRM platform,” says Rua. “Providing publishers tools to engage each visitor with the right message, at the right time, has helped retention, revenue, and client success. Admiral has built a mission-driven business by proving relationships do matter when it comes to funding Internet content that educates, entertains and empowers future generations.”

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000

Methodology

Companies on the 2022 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2018. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2021. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2018 is $100,000; the minimum for 2021 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to four decimal places. The top 500 companies on the Inc. 5000 are featured in Inc. magazine’s September issue. The entire Inc. 5000 can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.
