Dean Elected to the Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine of Florida

The dean of the College of Design, Construction and Planning at the University of Florida, Chimay Anumba, Ph.D., has been elected to the Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine of Florida.

The academy members elected Anumba for his research contributions to construction engineering and informatics as well as his development of next generation industry leaders. Anumba’s current research involves using artificial intelligence and advanced computing tools to improve design and construction processes.

Founded in 2018, the academy informs Floridians of current and future issues in science, engineering and medicine and how these challenges can be addressed. What the National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine is to the Nation, the Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine of Florida is for the State of Florida with the members living and working in Florida.
