UF Innovate Welcomes Lauren Asmus as Client Experience Manager

UF Innovate | Incubation Services is delighted to welcome Lauren Asmus as the program’s first Client Experience Manager. Lauren joined the team on August 16. She will serve clients and implement entrepreneurial programs at UF Innovate | Incubation Services’ facilities Sid Martin Biotech and The Hub.

Lauren brings 10 years of experience in communications, public outreach strategy, and as a non-profit director, serving a diverse array of early-stage startups, corporations, non-profits, and government agencies. She has served as director of startGNV, a non-profit entrepreneurial support organization, since 2020.

She will use her years of diverse experience to support and accelerate the growth of the incubation program’s more than 80 clients. In addition, Lauren will be operating the Innovation NaviGator program. In that role, she will connect entrepreneurs to key support from support organizations, resource providers, and service providers.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Lauren’s caliber and capabilities on our team, which will allow us to provide an even better customer experience to our over 80 residential and affiliate clients,” said Karl R. LaPan, director of UF Innovate | Incubation Services. “Through new innovative programming and business development resources, our world-class incubators will drive additional value for our clients.”

UF Innovate | Incubation Services provides a place and a program, coaching, and connections for young companies. The goal is to give them the best chance for ongoing success. Resident client and alumni startups of UF Innovate | Sid Martin Biotech and The Hub have generated more than $10.7 billion in invested capital. They have created thousands of jobs, most in the local economy.

The program plays a crucial role in Alachua’s and Gainesville’s innovation landscapes. The client experience manager is integral to supporting continued success.

Before her work at startGNV, she served as the communications director for CareerSource North Central Florida. After completing her master’s degree in communications and media at Florida State University, Asmus served two years as an Americorps Volunteer in Service to America in Billings, Montana.
