SATLANTIS Wins Award for Best Space Company
A jury composed of members of the European Space Agency (ESA), the Emirates Space Agency (UAESA), German and Emirati investors, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Emirates, selected from over 900 applications 40 finalists worldwide, in 4 thematic categories, under the CLIX (Climate Innovations Exchange) initiative of the “World Future Energy Summit”, which was held from January 13 to 16, 2020 in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.
UF startup and UF Innovate | The Hub resident company SATLANTIS, a provider of high-performance payload technologies for Earth observation and remote sensing, won the award for the best space company. Its multispectral camera with infrared extension as well as the applications of plastic detection at sea, control of algae pests, marine oil, and oil pollution in a microsatellite solution that only weights 70kg, were the reasons that earned them this award.
