UF Neuroscientist to Serve on NIH Aging Study Section

Paramita Chakrabarty, Ph.D., an assistant professor in UF’s Department of Neuroscience and investigator at UF’s Center for Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Disease, has been appointed by the National Institutes of Health as a member of the Neuroscience of Aging Review Committee of the National Institute on Aging. She will serve a four-year term as a reviewer of research and grant applications nationwide.

“This is a remarkable achievement and distinction, a well-deserved honor for Dr. Chakrabarty,” said Lucia Notterpek, Ph.D., chair of UF’s department of neuroscience.
