SmartSteward to Integrate With Vista Clinical Diagnostics

UF Innovate | The Hub resident company Antibiotic Adjuvant, Inc, creator of SmartSteward, electronic infection control and antibiotic stewardship system, and Vista Clinical Diagnostics, a medical testing lab serving skilled nursing facilities, announced they are working in collaboration to improve antibiotic stewardship. The announcement occurred during the Florida Healthcare Association Conference and Expo.

“Implementing an effective antibiotic stewardship program in nursing homes is tough because most facilities don’t have access to infectious diseases expertise,” says Guy LaTorre, CEO of SmartSteward. “SmartSteward analyzes the lab data and provides confidential physician feedback so doctors can improve their antibiotic prescribing habits.”
