John Athanason suffered major nerve damage to his right arm, wrist and hand when he slipped and smashed through a sliding glass door in 2017.
Thanks to UF startup Axogen, Inc., a global leader in developing and marketing innovative surgical solutions for damage or transection to peripheral nerves, and to Dr. Nirav Gupta, an Ocala Regional Medical Center orthopedic surgeon, Athanason’s hand is back to near normal.
