Ryan Johnson, Carbon Capture
In this week’s Tech Tuesday, UF Innovate spotlights carbon capture research at the University of Florida. The research, funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, is developing specialized polymer membranes designed to separate carbon dioxide from various industrial streams.
“What is carbon capture? Let’s learn more. Ryan, tell us a little bit more about who you are and what you do,” said Elora Duong, host of UF Innovate.
“Hi, I’m a fourth-year PhD candidate here in the [Department of Chemical Engineering], working under Dr. Joshua Moon. What we’re looking at is designing specific polymer membranes to work on separating out CO2 from different industrial streams,” said Ryan Johnson, graduate student at the University of Florida.
