UF startup LightPath Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of next-generation optics and imaging systems for both defense and commercial applications, announced that it has secured a $9.6 million purchase order for cooled infrared cameras from an existing defense customer for use in defense and security applications, with deliveries expected throughout calendar year 2026.
Production of the cameras will be split between the Company’s facilities in Florida and New Hampshire, leveraging LightPath’s expanded domestic manufacturing capabilities. LightPath’s cooled infrared cameras are the system of choice for all-weather security and surveillance, combining high-end performance with reliability and ease of use.
