The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is hosting the “Unlocking Insights: Analyzing All of Us Data for Drug Addiction Research” Challenge. This data science competition invites researchers from colleges, universities, nonprofit organizations, companies, and other institutions to explore the All of Us Research Program dataset and uncover new insights into substance use, misuse, and drug addiction.

Participants will analyze extensive multimodal data (including electronic health records, genetic information, behavioral surveys, and wearable data)to identify relationships and predictors relevant to drug addiction susceptibility, treatment response, and recovery outcomes. Up to five awards of $20,000 each will be given.

Interested teams must register by August 18, 2025 11:59 EST. The deadline for submission ends September 8, 2025 6:00 PM EST. For more information visit the challenge website.
