University of Florida faculty conducted a record $1.34 billion in research in fiscal year 2026, advancing discoveries in medicine, agriculture, engineering, space and many other fields.
“University of Florida researchers continue to address some of society’s most important challenges while creating new opportunities for innovation and economic growth,” said UF President Stuart Bell, Ph.D. “This record level of research activity reflects both the quality of our people and the confidence that funding agencies, industry partners and the State of Florida place in their work.”
