The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) has announced up to $31 million in funding through the Pilot-scale Rapid Operational Validation of key Energy Infrastructure Technologies (PROVE IT) program. This initiative, aims to support small businesses in validating clean energy technologies under operational conditions to enable their integration into larger-scale energy projects.

The funding supports pilot projects and subsystems in real-world industrial environments to increase their technology readiness for large-scale clean energy infrastructure integration and enhance their adoption readiness to a medium/high level. Awardees will receive milestone-based, firm-fixed-price contracts under a Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)-based request for proposals.
