The 2025 J.M.K. Innovation Prize, presented by the J.M Kaplan Fund, seeks to identify and support bold, early-stage projects that drive transformative change in heritage conservation, the environment, and social justice. The Prize seeks visionary nonprofit and mission-driven for-profit organizations that work within or across its three focus areas: Heritage Conservation, The Environment, and Social Justice.

Applications are open to individuals or teams based in the United States who propose game-changing solutions that address a clear need, align with the Fund’s focus areas, and have the potential to develop into a pilot or prototype with Prize funding. Up to 10 awardees will receive a $150,000 cash award over three years, plus $25,000 in technical assistance funds. In addition, winners will gain access to hands-on training, mentorship, and a resource network to help scale their ideas into sustainable impact.
