The applications extend far beyond blueberries, a growing sector of Florida’s $182.6 billion agriculture industry. Their brainchild, the AI Connoisseur, would not only give Florida farms an edge, but make healthy food more palatable to more people, bringing varieties with heirloom-quality flavor within everyone’s reach. Lacerta and Prevail, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Lilly, Sign Agreement To Develop Novel AAV Capsids for CNS Disorders

Lacerta Therapeutics, a leader in the development of adeno-associated virus (AAV) technologies for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) diseases, announced a new AAV capsid licensing and research collaboration agreement with Prevail Therapeutics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company. The collaboration will focus on the discovery and development of novel AAV capsids for CNS diseases.

Three UF Faculty Elected to Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine of Florida

Three University of Florida faculty will be inducted into the Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine of Florida in 2022. Zomedica Enters Into Strategic Investment and Potential Collaboration for VetGuardian Monitoring Product Line

Zomedica Corp., a veterinary health company offering diagnostic and therapeutic products for companion animals, announced that it has purchased a $1.0 million convertible note from UF startup Structured Monitoring Products, Inc. (SMP), makers of the VetGuardianTM wireless remote pet monitoring platform, and in connection therewith has acquired the option to act as a sales agent for SMP's platform. Under the terms of the agreement, Zomedica will also have the option to acquire the VetGuardian product line for use in Animal Health.
