But then they stumbled upon something interesting - users would often choose to disable their adblocker when asked. With a simple message about how ads support the content they love, many users would choose to see ads - no difficult, technical solution needed.

When Rick Carlson founded UF startup SharpSpring in 2012, he didn't think of himself as a CEO. “My co-founder and I were doing whatever it took to survive,” Carlson says, and they were responsible for everything from software development to buying office supplies. UF startup and UF Innovate | Sid Martin Biotech alum Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation (AGTC), a biotechnology company conducting human clinical trials of adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapies for the treatment of rare retinal diseases, reported 12-month data from its ongoing achromatopsia (ACHM) Phase 1/2 clinical trials, including data from all adult patients and low-dose pediatric patients.
