GAINESVILLE, FL, October 30, 2024– The seventh annual Standing InnOvation kicks off with a morning keynote, Insights and Innovation, from David S. Rose, serial entrepreneur and industry leader, at Santa Fe College’s Blount Center. This event is designed for seasoned and aspiring entrepreneurs, offering a collaborative atmosphere for networking and learning.  

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Rose, who is well known in the business startup community for discovering and mentoring high-potential entrepreneurs.

Rose has been profiled as “The Pitch Coach” for his ability to help CEOs perfect their fundraising skills. He is a regular speaker at TED conferences, and his TED talk on “How to Pitch a VC” has garnered more than a million views. Rose has also established himself as a Top Writer on Quora with over 11,000 answers on entrepreneurship and investing.

After attending Rose’s recent presentation, Hera Lichtenbeld, assistant director and licensing officer at UF Innovate, remarked,

“After his presentation, I couldn’t help but think, ‘Wouldn’t that be an amazing speaker for our UF entrepreneurs? That’s a next-level opportunity. We need to talk to him!’” 

The morning sessions will focus on providing insights into refining financial skills and mastering the art of pitching. The workshop aims to equip entrepreneurs with practical tools and strategies to enhance their startup journeys.  

The first 50 attendees will receive a ticket for a free copy of Rose’s book, The Startup Checklist. This resource is designed to support entrepreneurs in navigating the challenges of launching and growing a business. During the coffee break, ticket holders will have the chance to collect their books and have them signed by Rose.
