She has overcome challenges and helped advance high technology through a passion for her work. She tells her story in this YouTube video recorded by Florida High Tech Corridor, which selected nine individuals to be this year’s Faces of Technology.

Marlo Walpole joined Gainesville’s AuxThera as director of translational research to develop its flagship product, Trimauxil. This veterinarian-prescribed supplement supports healthy weight loss in dogs. It is available throughout Florida and Georgia with plans to launch nationally over the next year.

The mixed-use business incubator has served startup companies in biomedicine, agricultural technology, food sciences, information technology, and other areas since October 2011.

The building — including both the old and new sections — is more than 75 percent full, incubating about 50 companies.
