The Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2) has officially started their 2025 M2D2 $200K Challenge. This annual start-up competition identifies and rewards disruptive companies in the medical technology and biotechnology industries, providing finalists access to a $200,000 prize pool in sponsor-provided, in-kind services and $75,000 in cash awards. This years competition offers medtech and biotech innovators the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and present groundbreaking solutions across four key tracks:

• Military Medicine: Pioneering solutions to enhance care for service members.

• MedTech Sustainability: Innovating for a more sustainable healthcare future.

• Surgical Devices: A key focus on advancing women’s health technologies.

• Point of Care Technologies: Delivering innovations for diagnostics and treatment at the point of need.

Winners receive support ranging from lab and office space to engineering, product development, legal, regulatory, and business services—empowering them to bring their innovations to life and market.
