The Langer Prize for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Excellence provides unrestricted grants of up to $100,000 to support early-career researchers and engineering entrepreneurs in pursuing high-risk, high-impact innovations. Honoring Bob Langer’s pioneering spirit, this award enables recipients to explore ideas with potential to drive transformative advancements across industries.

The Langer Prize recipient will join a prestigious network of Langer Fellows. They will also access to mentorship and support from leading experts in innovation and entrepreneurship.

The selection process prioritizes:
– A truly innovative idea or original approach
– A reasonable probability of a future technological application
– A tangible promise of valuable contributions to society

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in chemical or bio-engineering. The recipients must use this fellowship to bridge research ideas to commercialization of a product or process that will create a transformative impact on society
