18aug5:00 pmARPA-H: Functional Repair of Neocortical Tissue (FRONT)Funding to advance neocortex regeneration and cognitive recovery

Event Details

ARPA-H (Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health) is hosting the Functional Repair of Neocortical Tissue (FRONT) program, a funding opportunity aimed at restoring cognitive function in individuals with permanent brain damage to the neocortex. This challenge invites researchers, innovators, and cross-disciplinary teams (particularly in neuroscience, cellular biology, and therapeutic development) to propose transformative technologies that enable the regeneration of neocortical tissue and recovery of brain function.

The FRONT program is seeking proposals that demonstrate the ability to convert non-specialized cells into functional brain tissue that can integrate seamlessly with existing neocortex structures.

Interested participants must submit a solution summary by August 18, 2025 at 5:00 PM EST to be eligible to submit a full proposal, which is due September 25, 2025 at 5:00 PM ET. The official solicitation and full application details are available on the ARPA-H site here.
